On January 31 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian took part at the reception given by the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor for the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Republic of Slovenia at the start of the New Year.
During his stay in Ljubljana Ambassador had several working meetings with the Directors of Departments and Special Envoys of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador was also received by the Senior Adviser to the President Ernest Petrič and Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy of the National Assembly Matjaž Nemec.
On January 30 at the meeting with the Rector of the University of Ljubljana Igor Papič the prospects of the cooperation between Ljubljana and Yerevan State Universities were considered.
Over the dozen of the Armenian compatriots residing in the different towns of Slovenia gathered at the meeting in Ljubljana to get familiar and to talk to the Ambassador.
